Role Overview

As a CNC Machine Operator at MXY Machining, you will be entrusted with operating state-of-the-art CNC equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision in every part we produce. You’ll be an essential part of the team, working with cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving needs of our clients and industries. This is a hands-on role where your technical skills will directly impact the efficiency and quality of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machines (milling, turning, and other precision equipment) to produce intricate components.
• Set up CNC machines, adjusting tooling, feeds, and speeds to meet production requirements.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, ensuring conformance to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to understand production requirements.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Continuously improve machine performance through feedback and process optimization.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, part quality, and production activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred).
• Basic experience or training in CNC machining is preferred.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operator, including tool changes and machine calibration.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• A strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
• Knowledge of materials and their properties for different machining processes.
• Experience working with high-tolerance parts and understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
