This role involves the safe and precise cleaning, finishing, and quality assurance of metal 3D printed parts, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Post-Processing Operations:
  • Perform cleaning and finishing of 3D printed metal parts using various tools and techniques, including sandpaper, bead blasting, and polishing.
  • Assist in the removal of parts from the build platform and separation of support structures.
  • Conduct heat treatment processes, such as annealing or aging, to enhance material properties.
• Quality Control:
  • Utilize calipers and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect parts for surface defects, porosity, and other quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections and processing steps.
• Maintenance and Safety:
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining equipment.
  • Assist in the general maintenance of finishing lab equipment and tools.
  • Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in manufacturing or machining is a plus.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in metal finishing, machining, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 3D Printed Metal Parts Finisher and post-processing techniques is advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a standing position for extended periods.
